Bizet : Miceala's aria from Carmen (Arranged for Brass quintet)

Product Code : Bizet_01
This Aria from Act 3 is set in the scene where Macaela has come to a gypsy camp to find Don José to bring him to his dying mother. Macaela is terrified of meeting Carmen and she prays to the Lord to protect her and give her courage using the words “Je dis que rien ne m'épouvante, je dis, hélas! que je réponds de moi; mais j'ai beau faire la vaillante, au fond du coeur, je meurs d'effroi” which translated means “I said there was nothing could scare me, I said I'd stay here all alone tonight; But though I try to act so bravely, Yet in my heart I die of fright”.
This is a very beautiful Aria, and in our arrangement the solo line is played by the 2 trumpets with the remainder of the ensemble providing the accompaniment.
